It’s wacky to me how quickly time goes. I think we all feel that. But as scary as it can be, September is the start of my favorite season. I say this every year, but I really do come alive in September. There’s something about this season that always feels full of magic and miracles.

And this year, I’m entering my season only looking forward.

There is still so much uncertainty in my life, but at the same time, I’m finding so much clarity. I’ve been given this wonderful space in my life right now, and I think I really needed it. I have something fun I’ll be sharing with you soon. And beyond that, there’s a fall dinner story coming your way mid-September and some traveling ahead.

I’ve spent a lot of this week really sitting with my own thoughts, something I’ve never felt very comfortable doing. Because it can be uncomfortable. My mind naturally wants to race ahead, figure everything out, and have all the answers.

But instead of running from that discomfort, I’m trying to sit with it and approach it with more intention.

I’m learning to let go of the worrying, to be more aware of my thoughts and reactions, and to trust that things will work out. To trust that the path I’m on is meant for me, even if I don’t understand every part of it right now.

There is so much love and light in my life. I know that, and leaning into that belief has brought me a sense of peace.

When my mind starts to worry, I’m trying not to immediately run with it. Instead, I’m working to find the good. What can I learn? What is this moment giving me? Maybe there’s a blessing in the situation that I just can’t see yet.

I’m putting more trust in the unknown and finding ease in not having every answer. Maybe I’m here, in this exact place and season of life, for a purpose—to become more comfortable with my own thoughts, to trust myself, and to remember that I have endless light within me and so much love surrounding me.

I’ve been riding my bike (well, my brother’s bike, and it’s no Ferrari, but it gets me from point A to B) to Pura Vida just to sit and work. Side note, everyone who works at this particular location is wonderful. Getting out of my environment and changing my space has felt so refreshing. I ride there in the heat of the day, then home as the evening cools down.

No podcast, no music in my ears. Just like my morning walks. Just my thoughts, my eyes, and noticing the natural beauty around me.

It’s been my unexpected joy this week. Finding beauty and a blessing in every single day.

As we move into September, I still don’t have many answers. But I’m realizing I don’t need them all right now. I trust it will work out.

I’m learning to move with the flow of the light. To notice it, appreciate it, and trust where it leads me.

And today, that light feels especially bright. It’s a very special day, celebrating a very special girl in my life. She was my light eighteen years ago today, and she always will be. Happy Birthday, Asher. I’m so proud of you!

1. Things I’m Loving

Wearing

Most of you are probably not in the fall mindset yet, I get it. It’s ninety degrees and HOT, but I’m already heavy into fall fashion.

I live in a hoodie when the weather chills. Free People has great zip-ups. I have this zip-up hoodie in black and love it for travel days. I also have my eye on this VintageSoft Hoodie from Gap. It’s on sale, so I might grab another color!

For fall hikes, especially in Colorado, I always throw on a warm fleece. The second temperatures dip, I’ll be wearing this quarter zip fleece from The North Face. Even in Florida, you never know, I might need it! I also love this fleece jacket from Halfdays. I can already tell it will be a fall/winter staple.

If you have a September wedding, this pretty embellished dress would be so cute for a rehearsal dinner or even the big day. It really just depends on your vibe!

Now, splurge time! My favorite. There are so many chic coats coming out for fall. I’m already envisioning New York trips wearing at least one or two. A great coat can totally level up an outfit.

I love this Marc Jacobs cropped cargo parka. Cute, right? I’d style it simply with jeans and boots.

Nour Hammour always has the best coats. This new Hadley calf hair jacket is very chic. Think October, November, even Thanksgiving! And this leather jacket is a little more casual for everyday.

For something at a better price point, Zara has this really good quality 100% leather long trench. Such a great fall find.

My mom would look so cute in this Free People Denim Cropped Jacket. I can totally see her wearing this.

Both myself and my mom love a nice scarf. She wears them year-round, even in Miami, where she’ll throw on a light cashmere scarf inside because everyone loves to blast the AC. For fall, I adore this Loewe fringed wool and cashmere scarf. I actually love the look of layering the two together—so cozy and cute. And yes, I know, they’re both very pricey. Definitely splurge pieces, but such a pretty look!

Another Loewe love is this new whisker leather shoulder bag. Such a cute shape and a good size.

Fall wedding season is my favorite. If I do someday get married, I’m planning a September wedding. I wish I had a wedding this season because I would wear this halter scarf maxi dress. So pretty.

Last piece, I promise. I want to style this poplin vest with jeans and a great boot this season!

Listening To

I’ve been listening to A Really Good Cry, and I’m enjoying it so much. Earlier this week, I listened to an episode about the ancient Ayurvedic concept of Ojas—the idea of deep nourishment that creates vitality, glowing skin, and a confident energy you can feel in someone the moment they walk into a room. That’s the girl I strive to be.

I connect so much with Ayurvedic practices. What’s interesting is that I’ve naturally followed pieces of this lifestyle without even realizing it. Learning more about Ayurveda recently has been so exciting and has even sparked new thoughts around food and recipes.

What I love most is that it doesn’t feel like another wellness trend. It’s really a way of living—looking deeper, understanding what your body needs, and slowly and consistently nourishing yourself from the inside out.

The episode isn’t too long either, so even if you’re only here for some glowy skin, I’d give it a listen.

And something fun, because I feel like every podcast I’ve shared lately has been wellness-focused! The girls at Lipstick on the Rim recently had Annie Meyers-Shyer, Nancy Meyers’ daughter, on. Annie started her fashion career as an accessories editor at Harper’s Bazaar before moving to LA and working in West Coast PR for Chanel. She eventually transitioned into the interiors world, creating This Oak House. She talks about her design philosophy, her approach to interiors, and, of course, growing up surrounded by all that Nancy Meyers magic. It’s a fun listen and a nice change of pace!

Dreaming of Going To

Since learning more about Ayurveda through A Really Good Cry, I’ve been wanting to explore India. And of course, Vogue then shared this historic royal palace in Khajuraho.

Khajuraho, in Madhya Pradesh, is known for its incredible temples, architecture, and intricate carvings. This 350-year-old restored palace overlooks beautiful gardens and a lake and looks effortlessly stunning. My mom loves history, and I know she would love staying here. Adding it to the travel list!

And then there are the Tierras Villas in Crete. Goop has the best travel recommendations. There are five private villas built into the hillside overlooking the Cretan Sea, each with its own infinity pool and sweeping views—the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and stay forever. Greece in the fall feels like a dream worth chasing.
